Scope and applicable law
The practice is located in Türkiye, so the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) applies to all processing described here. Because this website addresses patients in the European Economic Area and other regions, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is applied in addition wherever it is applicable to you.
What data we collect
Through the case-assessment form: your name, email address, optional phone number, the treatment area you select, and any description of your case you choose to provide. The treatment area and any free-text description can reveal information about your health, which is special category data under Article 9 GDPR and sensitive personal data under Article 6 KVKK. Please share only a short summary in the form — do not paste full medical records.
Purpose and legal basis
We process this data solely to respond to your request and to assess whether surgical treatment is appropriate for you. The legal basis is your explicit consent, given via the checkbox in the form (Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a) GDPR; explicit consent under Articles 5 and 6 KVKK). You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by contacting the practice.
How form submissions are delivered
When you submit the case-assessment form, the website sends your entries directly from its own web server to the practice by email. No third-party form service is involved, and the submission is not stored on the web server. The email is handled like any other correspondence with the practice and treated confidentially.
Medical documents and reports
This website does not accept file uploads, and you should not paste full medical records into the form. If a case assessment goes ahead, the practice will contact you personally and tell you how to share your medical reports and imaging. If you choose to send documents by email or WhatsApp, they are transmitted through those providers under their own terms — WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted, but Meta processes connection metadata. Documents the practice receives become part of your medical record and are handled under medical confidentiality.
Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Berlin, Germany. When you visit, standard access logs (IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp) are processed for operation and security of the site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies, analytics, and marketing
No analytics or marketing tags load unless you opt in via the cookie banner. With your consent, the site uses Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymization, provided by Google) to measure how the site is used, and the Meta Pixel (provided by Meta) to measure the performance of ads. Both providers may transfer data outside Türkiye and the EEA under their own safeguards. Your choice is stored in your browser, and you can change or withdraw it at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Retention
Enquiry data is kept only as long as needed to handle your request: if no treatment relationship follows, the practice deletes the enquiry at the latest six months after the last contact. If treatment follows, your data becomes part of your medical record and is retained for the periods required by Turkish medical-record law.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection (Articles 15–21 GDPR), and the corresponding rights under Article 11 KVKK, including the right to know whether your data is processed and to request correction or deletion. You may also lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, if you are in the EEA, with your local supervisory authority.
